Obituary: Claudette Lipp, 89, of Milford

Claudette Elaine (Heslin) Lipp, 89, of Milford, beloved wife of the late Joseph Lipp, entered peaceful rest on Oct. 25.

She is now in the loving arms of family and friends who have gone before her.

She was born on September 13, 1934, in New Haven and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marie (Brache) Heslin.

She was an operator for SNET for many years before her retirement. A loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a true friend to many others.

She is survived by her children, Stephen Lipp (Maureen), Matthew Lipp, Dietrich Lipp (Clifford Mascia), Veronica Pretty and Karen Solabarrieta (Josu), four grandchildren, Arantza Condie (Daniel), Lander Solabarrieta, Shannon Lipp and Spencer Lipp, her grandchildren, Grayson, Silas, and Cora Condie and Arianna Robinson, her brother-in-law, Charles Gitlitz, and a niece, Dara Giamalvia. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Eric Lipp and her sister, Susanne Gitlitz, her niece, Heather Gitlitz and dear friend, Carol Berrios.

Family and friends may call on Monday, Oct. 30, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. with a funeral service at 11 a.m. at the Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home, 291 Bridgeport Ave.

Interment to follow in Saint Mary Cemetery.
