Obituary: Pietro “Pete” deNicolo, 62, of Milford

Pietro “Pete” deNicolo, age 62, beloved husband of Sandra L. (Brown) deNicolo of Milford, entered peaceful rest on October 22, 2023, at Hartford Hospital.

He was the son of Constance (Sherwood) deNicolo of Milford and the late Gioacchino deNicolo. Peter was born on July 5, 1961, in Milford.

deNicolo graduated from Johnson and Wales Culinary Institute and worked as an executive chef for the former Costa Azzurra Restaurant for over 40 years.

He then proudly accepted a chef’s position at Benchmark Senior Living in Trumbull.

Pete loved spending time with his family. His grandchildren brought him so much joy and will always hold a special place in his heart. Some of his favorite activities were floating in his pool and spending time at the beach.

Pete was known for always having the biggest smile. He had a knack for making friends with everyone he met and was loved by all.

In addition to his devoted wife, Sandra, Pete leaves his four children, Mark Kecko, Samantha Kecko, Amanda (Kecko) Leigh, and Gina deNicolo, and four grandchildren, Brandon and Chase Kecko, Gabriel and Connor Leigh. He also leaves his four brothers, Charles, Paul, Andrew (Jamie) and Daniele and several nieces and nephews.

Family and Friends may call on Monday, Oct. 30 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home, 291 Bridgeport Ave.

The interment will be private.
