Obituary: Ronald DeBrigita, 80, of Milford
Ronnie, a dedicated friend and family man, proudly served for the West Haven Fire Department, Center District.
MILFORD, CT - (From West Haven Funeral Home) Ronald DeBrigita, 80, of Milford passed away at his home on July 27, 2021.
He leaves his daughter and son-in-law Gina and Andrew Clark, his furry friend “Sabrina” and many loving family members.
Ronnie was predeceased by his wife Sandy, as well as daughter and son-in-law Rhonda and Robert Sanger.
Born in New Haven, he was the only child of Albert and Angelina Lombardi DeBrigita.
After an early retirement from the West Haven Fire Department, Center District, Ron went to work for the New Haven Parking Authority and Mega Motors of Derby.
His post-retirement routine included a daily trip to Dunkin Donuts to meet up with his buddies, and then catching up with them under the tree at the West Haven Boardwalk.
He also enjoyed trips to the casino, Thursday night dinners with “the guys”, listening to Frank Sinatra, twice-yearly trips to Las Vegas with Sandy, and reunions with the old ‘Hill’ neighborhood.
Visitation will take place on FRIDAY from 4 to 7 pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. On Saturday morning, the procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30am.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Victory Church, St. John Vianney campus at 10 o’clock.
Interment will follow in Kings Highway Cemetery, Milford.
