Obituary: Wilfredo Rivera, 74, of Milford
Wilfredo, a proud U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran and avid fisherman, worked at AVCO for many years in Information Technology.
MILFORD, CT - (From Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home) Wilfredo Rivera, age 74, of Milford, beloved husband of Luz Raquel Rivera for 52 years, passed away peacefully on Saturday July 31, 2021 at his home.
Wilfredo was born in Puerto Rico on July 27, 1947 to the late Ramon and Celina Fernandez Rivera. He worked at AVCO for many years doing Information Technology.
Wilfredo was a proud US Army Vietnam War veteran and enjoyed fishing in his younger years.
Survivors include his children: Nicole Noey and her husband Neil of Oklahoma City and Erica Rivera of North Branford, brother, Raymond Rivera of Beacon Falls, three grandchildren; Santina and Luca Ciampi and Jace Noey and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. in Kings Highway Cemetery, 271 Cherry Street, Milford with full military honors.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VFW Post 7788, 422 Naugatuck Avenue, Milford, CT 06460.
