Does anyone in your family work in politics or government?
No
Have you ever held a public office, whether appointive or elective?
Yes, I'm currently an elected Constable in Milford
Why are you seeking this office?
I love Milford and I believe that our great education system is a reason that Milford has thrived in attracting families. I want to be a voice for the parents, students and my district.
Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ___, and this is what I intend to do about it.
I think the biggest issue is that parents no longer feel like they have a voice and they are finding things out last minute. When it comes to education of our students and communication with parents I plan on being proactive and making sure that the parents know that I have a open door policy that they will be kept informed about major decisions that will be happening not find them out a day before they will be decided.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
My dedication to the people that elected me not the party near my name.
If you are challenging an incumbent, in what way has the current officeholder failed the community?
I think it is time for new leadership and new voices.
What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
I think that you can have a great education system and have fiscal responsibility. I think that we need to put students, teachers, parents and taxpayers first not any agenda. They are who we serve. I also think looking at long term strategies to solve some of our problems and look to solve them in the present and not kick the can down the road is something that is lacking on the current BOE.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
I sit with families, business owners and parents and have tough conversations and sit with them and help address major issues and make sure that their is a plan in place to protect their income, family and their employees. The same care and planning that I do with them I will bring to the Board of Education.
