Does anyone in your family work in politics or government?

No.

Have you ever held a public office, whether appointive or elective?

Yes. Milford Ethics Commission (Chair) 2006-2009; Milford Board of Education 2014-16; Milford Pension and Retirement Board 2016-17, Planning and Zoning Board (6 years) 2017-present Vice Chair. I also am the liaison to the South Central Regional Council of Governments and a member of the regulations subcommittee of the board.

Why are you seeking this office?

I have served on this Board for almost 6 years now and want to continue the work of this Board. I am well aware of the affordable housing issue in Milford and the State of Connecticut. As a member of this board I, and the other members of the board, have strived to strike the balance of affordable housing in Milford with the integrity and beauty of our various communities that make up this vibrant City. I wish to serve as the 3rd District's Board representative to continue the difficult work that will allow all members of our society to desire to live and work here. I am proud of the most recent decision of the board concerning the CT Post Mall and its affordable housing component.

Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is __, and this is what I intend to do about it.

Overdevelopment. This is a difficult choice to strike a balance between appropriate development of all types of building in the City. The Board must make sure that state and local regulations are followed as we pursue an approved plan of conservation and development. (POCD).

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

The only difference that I see is my many years of experience representing the citizens of Milford.

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?

I will listen to the voters that I speak to on the campaign trail and any issue that they want addressed.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

My many years in public service will speak for themselves. I was a trial attorney in the Bridgeport State's Attorney's office for 43 years and have had to handle thousands of cases. And I have served on various boards and commissions in Milford.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?

Listen, get all the information, then make your decision.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

I am committed to serve my 3rd District constituents on this Board as I have for the past 6 years, if I am given another term.
