Does anyone in your family work in politics or government?
No
Have you ever held a public office, whether appointive or elective?
Yes, I am a 4 term Constable in Milford,
Why are you seeking this office?
To promote responsible sustainable community development in a way that makes sence for all milford residents.
Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is __, and this is what I intend to do about it.
Over Development.
Milford is a beautiful city. We attract many people each year that visit our beaches, retail areas, and love the sense of community Milford has to offer. Milford’s convenience and beauty attract people who want to call Milford their home. They have a right to be a part of our community. However, much of our city is being over developed. The once wooded areas have been cleared, and leaving no room for local wildlife. Historic homes are being torn down and replaced with multi-unit complexes. Homes that once had a beautiful view of the ocean now have their views blocked by mini mansions! This form of over development is impacting local neighborhoods by driving wildlife from their natural habitats into yards and public spaces. It's also unsustainable on milfords infrastructure! For too long these issues have not been addressed, I intend to be an independent voice who considers all pros/cons before I vote on special approvals.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
I have never personally met opponent, I'm sure we both love and serve our city as best we can. That being said I would say the main difference is that I would be focusing on careful review of special approvals and how they impact locals, wildlife and infrastructure.
If you are challenging an incumbent, in what way has the current officeholder failed the community?
I wouldn't say my opponent has "Failed" we all struggle and make mistakes, I would say an area my opponent has let milford down would be by allowing select developers to build and develop questionable areas.
What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
Sustainable Growth, Affordable Housing,
Abandoned construction projects and Zoning Violations.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
My accomplishments in life have taught me a few things. I have worked and managed a few different industries. Those industries include mechanics, construction, distribution, landscaping and tech/manufacturing with people from many backgrounds.
My work history proves I have what it takes to find a middle ground in all situations and for each person to have their voice heard while working together.
What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
Try my best, don't be afraid to mess up, be honest, especially with yourself.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
Yes, I ran for P&Z in 2021, I lost by about 254 votes, however I felt compelled to run again after all the support I received.
I had about 500 Republican supporters and over 650 Democrat, Independent and Unaffiliated voters support me. My opponent had won by single party line votes, I can't ignore the diversity of my support and ask you vote for me once again, together we can bring change! I'll see you at the polls!!!
