Special Weather Statement Issued For Southern Connecticut Wednesday

SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT — The National Weather Service issued a special weather statement around 6 a.m. for all of southern Connecticut on Wednesday.

"Patchy black ice is possible this morning as temperatures are right around freezing and roads are still wet from yesterday`s precipitation," the weather service said. "Conditions will improve later this morning as temperatures rise into the mid and upper 30s. Motorists and pedestrians should use caution. Reduce speed, allow extra time, and be prepared for areas of slippery travel."

As you can see in the full 7-day forecast below, it will remain very cold but also largely dry. High temperatures for the next week will struggle to reach 40 degrees, while low temperatures will be in the 20s and teens.
