2 Mohegan Sun Jackpots Hit For Over $1.3 Million

UNCASVILLE, CT — Two players won jackpots worth over $650,000 each at Mohegan Sun over the past weekend, totaling more than $1.3 million.

A Connecticut resident was playing an IGT Whitney Houston slot machine Saturday in Casino of the Sky when they hit a GRAND progressive jackpot for $659,570.73, according to the casino. The player was betting $50 per spin at the time.

The Whitney Houston machines were introduced last year and feature the pop star's hits like “I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)” and “So Emotional.”

Then on Sunday, a player's $5 side bet turned into a $669,412 win. The Connecticut resident was playing blackjack in the Casino of the Earth when they hit the Super 4 Royal Flush Progressive Jackpot.

The jackpot, which is offered at all the casino's blackjack tables, is triggered when the dealer's hand is blackjack, with the amount dependent on the value and suit of both the player’s and dealer’s hands.
