Good Samaritans Return Lost Wallet in Montville

"We know that our town is full of kind and honest people but when we get to witness it first hand it is truly refreshing."— Montville Police

Montville Police were delighted when a wallet was turned in and reunited with its owner on April 22. They wrote:

Today, an amazing man named Bill and one of his employees found a wallet on Sharps Hill Road. They brought it to the Police Station and turned it in... asking that we help them locate the owner and return it for them.

After Bill left the officer opened the wallet... it appeared that everything that should be in a wallet was still located within it.... including about $100 in cash!

We know that our town is full of kind and honest people but when we get to witness it first hand it is truly refreshing. Thank you.

The wallet was brought over to the owner's residence, where we discovered the owner was actually out looking for his missing wallet. The wallet was ultimately returned.

In a world when we often see and hear only about the bad, evil, sad part of life, it is a breath of fresh air when great people do something to remind us that our community is amazing!
