Homing Pigeon Needs A Home
The pigeon traveled to Montville from New Hampshire and reportedly has a bloodline that traces back to pigeons used in World War ! and II.
Montville Animal Control posted the following description of a homing pigeon in need of a good home:
Homing pigeon looking for a good home! We have acquired a Racing/Homing pigeon that we traced back to an owner in New Hampshire.
The pigeon must have gotten himself very lost as he was only released a couple miles from home in NH. Or maybe, he was headed to the casino? Unfortunately, the owner is unable to come get the pigeon but we did get a bit of history on the pigeon.
Apparently, it has some very special bloodlines that trace back to the "war pigeons" that were used in World Wars I and II. He is now up for adoption to someone who has experience with pigeons. Please call Montville Animal Control at (860) 848-3529 for more information.
