Mohegan Sun Player Wins $1.3 Million Blackjack Jackpot

MONTVILLE, CT — A lucky winner at Mohegan Sun won a jackpot recently worth $1,338,736.40, according to a statement from the resort casino.

The person was playing the optional $5 Super 4 Progressive side bet on a blackjack table in Casino of the Earth at the time the jackpot was won.

The Super 4 Progressive side bet is offered on all blackjack tables at Mohegan Sun and is triggered when the dealer’s hand is a blackjack.

The payout amount depends on the value and suit of both the player’s and dealer’s hand. This player hit the top jackpot which requires the four cards in the hand to be ace, king, queen, and jack of diamonds.

Mohegan Sun was the first casino to offer Super 4 Progressive Blackjack in 2015 and is still one of only a few casinos that offer the game across the United States, according to the statement.

Currently at Mohegan Sun, there are two additional one million-dollar jackpots up for grabs.

Pai Gow Poker (Fortune Pai Gow Progressive) and Spanish 21 (Bonus Spin Extreme Progressive) table games both have progressive jackpots over a million dollars and are growing.

Players can be in the running for one of these massive jackpots by playing the $5 side bet.
