
The following arrests were recorded at Connecticut State Police Troop E. An arrest does not constitute a conviction and all are innocent until proven guilty.
May 16
Steven Young, 21, of Norwich, first-degree failure to appear in court, $1,000 bond. The Montville Police Department says Young failed to appear at the G.A. 21 Court in Norwich on a prior larceny charge.
May 17
Jared Pennell, 30, of 133 Chappell Hill Road in Oakdale, violation of probation, $150,000 cash or surety bond. Connecticut State Police Troop E says Pennell turned himself in on an outstanding warrant.
Tracy Miller, 29, of 39 Miller Road in Preston, second-degree failure to appear in court, $2,500 bond. Connecticut State Police Troop E says Miller was processed at the Troop E barracks after failing to appear for a scheduled court date at G.A. 21 on May 17.
Andrew W. Miller, 20, of 2310 Lawton Lane in Rowlett, Texas, operation of a vehicle by a minor having an elevated blood content, traveling at an unreasonable speed, $500 bond. The Montville Police Department says Miller was arrested after he was stopped on Laurel Drive.
May 18
Sabar Ahmed, 26, homeless, criminal trespass, failure to pay or plea warrant, $592 bond in total. The Connecticut State Police Casino Licensing and Operations Unit says Mohegan Sun security stopped Ahmed since he had previously been evicted from the casino and that police found that he had an active warrant.
May 19
Cari Ann Delude, 32, of 37A Hydeville Road in Stafford Springs, breach of peace, $500 non-surety bond. The Connecticut State Police Casino Licensing and Operations Unit says Delude was involved in a domestic dispute at the Mohegan Sun Casino.
May 20
Mark A. Hatch, 27, of 241 South Road in Bozrah, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failure to obey traffic signal, driving under suspension, $500 bond. The Montville Police Department says Hatch was stopped after running a red light on Route 32 and failed sobriety tests.
Accidents
- At 6:21 p.m. on May 14, 36-year-old Matthew Hall of Bozrah lost control of his motorcycle while traveling east on Route 2A and getting off the road at Exit 2. Hall laid the bike down prior to hitting a metal guardrail. He was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
- At 2:55 p.m. on May 16, 64-year-old Robert Marcucilli of Norwalk lost control of his vehicle while traveling south on I-395 near Exit 78. The vehicle went off the roadway, across the two northbound travel lanes, and rolled over along the right shoulder. Marcucilli was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
- At 5:39 p.m. on May 17, 23-year-old Rafael Estevez of Jewett City lost control of his vehicle while traveling south on I-395 near Exit 79. Estevez was ejected and suffered non life threatening injuries.
- At 4:54 p.m. on May 18, 56-year-old Douglas Watters of Ledyard was driving east on Route 2A at the Mohegan-Pequot Bridge when his vehicle drifted into the opposite lane and collided with a vehicle driven by 27-year-old Ingrid Burdick of Norwich. Burdick’s vehicle was totaled and Watters’ vehicle had heavy damage. Burdick was taken to the hospital for minor injuries. Watters was not injured and cited for failure to maintain lane.
- At 10:14 p.m. on May 18, 17-year-old Daniel Encarnacion was cited for traveling too fast after colliding with a guardrail while trying to negotiate the curve of the on-ramp from Route 2A to I-395 South.
