Deans Mill Farm 

Built in the mid-1700s as a functioning livestock farm, Deans Mill Farm has gone through an evolution in recent decades. A full renovation of the historic buildings and rejuvenation of the surrounding 70+ acres has made the property into the incredible venue it is today. Deans Mill Farm now operates primarily as a private event space and five-room bed and breakfast tucked down a private road in Stonington, Connecticut. It shares its property with Dragonfly Equestrian Center and is home to dozens of horses. On the property lies meadows, hiking trails, beautiful fields and Dragonfly Disc Golf. The property can be rented for weddings, birthday parties and other special events. Additionally, the bed and breakfast can be rented by the room or reserved in its entirety for complete privacy. The Farm has the ability to host small private indoor events for up to 50 guests in the Farmhouse. MONTVILLE, CT — A Willimantic man is accused of driving 121 miles per hour on I-395 in Montville, according to state police. On Sunday, a state trooper driving on Route 2 eastbound around 10:40 p.m. saw an Acura TLX approach from behind at a high rate of speed, according to state police. The Acura passed the trooper's cruiser, continued on Route 2, then drove onto I-395 south. At that point, the trooper clocked the vehicle's speed at more than 121 miles per hour, police said. Police stopped the Acura on I-395 in Montville and arrested the driver, Derek Sweezey, 41, of Willimantic. Sweezey was charged with reckless driving, and he was released on a $500 bond. He is due to appear in Superior Court in Norwich on June 17.
