Spring Craft Festival Debuts at Mohegan Sun: What To Know

UNCASVILLE, CT — A new seasonal event will make its debut at Mohegan Sun this Mother’s Day weekend, as the inaugural New England Spring Craft Festival opens to the public on Saturday, May 10 and runs through Sunday, May 11.
The event will take place inside the Earth Expo & Convention Center and is organized by Artisan Promotions, the company behind the annual New England Christmas Festival. The spring edition brings together more than 250 artisans showcasing handcrafted goods, gourmet foods, and wellness experiences.
Visitors can expect a wide variety of handmade items ranging from fine art and jewelry to home décor and apparel. Artisans scheduled to appear include Kay’s Creations, known for hand-dyed wooden flowers, and Brushstrokes by Tam, which offers watercolor artwork and greeting cards. Other vendors include Clean Pirate, a clothing brand that repurposes materials into new designs, and Ishkabbile Crafts, which creates functional wooden pieces such as utensils and birdhouses.
In addition to shopping, the event includes an Interactive Zone with wellness and beauty services. Guests can try a hydrafacial, receive a B12 shot, or enjoy a chair massage. Additional offerings include aura cleansing, makeup application, brow shaping, hairstyling, and life coaching consultations. Crafting and food-related workshops, such as bouquet building and sushi-making, will also be available.
Organizers say the event is designed to provide both a shopping and experiential outing for visitors during the spring season. The festival is family-friendly and aligns with the Mother’s Day weekend, offering a unique option for those celebrating the holiday.
The New England Spring Craft Festival marks a seasonal expansion of Artisan Promotions’ event lineup, and organizers say they hope it will become an annual tradition.
