Town Of Montville: Distribution Of Antigen Self Tests For COVID-19 Infection Detection

Mayor Ronald McDaniel announced today the Town’s efforts to distribute an additional 1,170 ANTIGEN SELF TEST KITS for COVID-19 Infection Detection. This distribution results from a cooperative effort with Governor Ned Lamont, the State Department of Public Health, State Department of Emergency Management and Homeland Security, the Connecticut National Guard, the Uncas Health District, and the Town of Montville.

This distribution is a proactive effort to slow the spread of the coronavirus amid a surge of cases due to the omicron variant.

Personnel will pass out the Self-Tests to residents of Montville from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM or while supplies last on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Tyl Middle School parking lot at 166 Chesterfield Road. Vehicles will need to enter through the Montville High School at the center entrance on Old Colchester Road. No access will be allowed directly into Tyl. Residents will need to bring proof of their residency, such as government issued identification or a piece of mail addressed to the resident at their home. Each household will be given a maximum of two (2) self-test kits (2 tests per kit for a total of 4 tests). Single person households are asked to take only one kit to allow more residents to receive a kit. If you received a kit during the first distribution, please do not take another so that your neighbors may receive one.
