$50,000 Winning Scratch-Off Lottery Ticket Sold In Naugatuck

A local resident is also the lucky winner, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

NAUGATUCK, CT — An unnamed Naugatuck resident is $50,000 richer this week after claiming a winning lottery ticket purchased locally, the Connecticut Lottery announced.

On Monday, the person claimed a winning Money Rush ticket that was bought at Cross Point Liquors on New Haven Road in Naugatuck.

The Connecticut Lottery publishes partial winner information as public record, according to officials.

The game, which costs $5 per ticket, began in May, and as of Tuesday, one grand prize of $50,000 remained unclaimed.

More than 1 million game tickets have been printed, and the overall odds of winning are 1 in 5.17.
