Michaels Store To Close At Brass Mill Commons In Waterbury: Report
A Michaels craft store at Brass Mill Commons in Waterbury is scheduled to close early next year, according to a new report.
WATERBURY, CT — A Michaels craft store at Brass Mill Commons in Waterbury is scheduled to close early next year, CT Insider reports. A Michaels spokesperson confirmed to the publication the Union Street store will close Jan. 17, 2025.
According to CT Insider, the spokesperson did not elaborate on why the store is closing but noted it was a business decision, and encouraged disappointed Waterbury customers to visit other Michaels locations in Connecticut or the company's online store.
In addition to the Waterbury location, Michaels operates 23 other stores in Connecticut, including nearby locations in Southington, Soutbury, Berlin, Meriden and North Haven.

Brass Mill Commons is home to a number of notable chains and franchises, including JCPenney, Kay Jewelers, Ulta Beauty and Dick's Sporting Goods.
A request for comment from Michaels was not immediately returned Friday.
