Naugatuck HS 'DECA Boys’ Day' Project Receives Statewide Award

The project "DECA Boys' Day" was recently selected as a "2017 Challenge to Educational Citizenship Award" statewide winner.

From Naugatuck Public Schools: The Naugatuck High School project “DECA Boys’ Day” was recently selected as a “2017 Challenge to Educational Citizenship Award” statewide winner.

A plaque acknowledging this accomplishment will be presented by Commissioner of Education Dr. Dianna Wentzell at a reception to be held at the Connecticut Association of Schools on May 23, 2017, at 10 a.m.

The recipients of these awards embody the spirit of citizenship, commitment to serving others, and altruism. “We are thrilled that Naugatuck students can be recognized with this award for their hard work and tireless efforts to improve our community,” said Superintendent Sharon Locke. “This project epitomizes exemplary civic awareness, cooperation, and boundless potential for community impact, and we are so proud of this accomplishment.”
