Spending Down in Naugatuck But Tax Rate Inches Up: Report
The final budget for next year and tax rate is expected to be approved Monday night.

NAUGATUCK, CT — The average taxpayer in Naugatuck with a house value at $200,000 would pay an extra $178 in taxes next year, according to the budget being finalized by Borough leaders, the Republican-American. The tax rate is expected to increase by 0.89 mills.
Despite the tax increase spending is actually down, the schools budget is unchanged at $61.6 million and the town budget is actually down $192,000, the Rep-Am reports. (To sign up for Naugatuck breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
