"We're excited to welcome them to the property," Mendyka said.
Altitude locations typically offer a number of fun activities for kids, including trampolines, dodgeball, basketball and digital experiences, and are a popular venue for children's birthday parties.
Though Altitude does not currently operate in Connecticut, the company has locations in nearby states such as New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts.
An Altitude spokesperson confirmed Friday an opening date for the Waterbury location has not been set yet, however it will be announced soon.
The spokesperson also told Patch the company wanted to bring its first Connecticut location to Waterbury specifically and looked forward to bringing their "active family fun" to the area.
