2 Students From Newington Named National Merit Semifinalists
Two students from Newington have been named as National Merit Scholarship semifinalists.
NEWINGTON, CT β Officials from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) have announced the names of approximately 16,000 semifinalists in the 67th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. Included are two students from Newington.
These academically talented high school seniors have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,500 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $30 million that will be offered next spring.
The students from Newington are Jonah Borrup and Bryce Turner, who both attend Newington High School.
