Newington Roadway Back Open After Construction: Update

Local police were asking motorists to seek alternate routes.

NEWINGTON, CT — Construction work had closed a large section of roadway in Newington, according to the local police department Tuesday, but the road is, now, back open.

According to the Newington Police Department, East Robbins Avenue was closed between Kitts Lane and the Berlin Turnpike due to the construction.

Police were asking motorists to take an alternative route, but Tuesday afternoon, they announced that the road was back open.
