Crash Causes 'Major' Traffic Jam In Newington

NEWINGTON, CT — A major crash in town has local police telling motorists to, simply, avoid the area just after mid-day Thursday.

According to an alert from the Newington Police Department, the crash happened at the intersection of Fenn Road and Ella Grasso Boulevard.

The situation, police said, is causing "major" traffic delays and backups an motorists should "avoid the area until further notice."
