National Coffee Chain Opens First CT Shop In Newington
The chain was founded in 1978 in New Orleans, with a second grand opening celebration planned for June 6-7.
NEWINGTON, CT β A New Orleans-based coffee chain opened up its latest location up north in Newington on Wednesday.
PJβs Coffee opened its 3313 Berlin Turnpike location on Wednesday.
PJβs Coffee kicked off its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony along with the Newington Chamber of Commerce.

Guests were able to enjoy free small hot and cold brewed coffees, and various sample-sized drinks and bakery items.
For those who couldn't make Wednesday's festivities, there is a second celebration planned for Friday and Saturday, June 6-7, from 3 to 5 p.m.

That will feature more festivities and "New Orleans-style fun" to officially welcome the first PJ's Coffee to Connecticut.
