Newington Announces Downtown Fall Concert Series Lineup
The Parks and Recreation Department will host the concerts at the Constitution Square Municipal Parking Lot on Sundays.

The Newington Parks and Recreation Department is excited to announce that we will be hosting a new Downtown Fall Music Concert Series. This concert series will be in conjunction with the Kiwanis Flea Market. The concerts are held at The Constitution Square Municipal Parking Lot behind Market Square. The Flea Market is held from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and the concerts will be from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

“What a wonderful way to entice more people to come to downtown Newington and enjoy a flea market and a free concert,” said Bill DeMaio, Superintendent of the Newington Parks and Recreation Department. “We hope our Newington residents take full advantage of these free concerts every Sunday afternoon. The atmosphere is truly something special. Families can stroll through the Kiwanis Flea Market while listening to fantastic bands and grab a bite to eat from the variety of restaurants surrounding the Municipal Lot. There are picnic tables available for everyone to use provided by the Parks and Recreation Department,” said DeMaio.

Sunday, September 19th – Sapphire is a two piece band that plays sing along popular hits from all the decades.
Sunday, September 26th – School Daze plays Classic Rock, Motown, Funk, R&B, Soul, Pop, and much more.
Sunday, October 3rd – Eight to the Bar’s material is a colorful mix of 40’s Jazz and Swing, 50’s Jump Blues, a little bit of Motown, and their own swing-influenced tunes.
Sunday, October 10th – Cody Bondra plays acoustic rock covers with a mellow vibe.
Sunday, October 17th – Nightshift is a 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s cover band. They have been known to only play the most popular hits of those times.
Sunday, October 24th – Leaf Jumpers plays the best of the best in the Rock n Roll genre.
Sunday, October 31st – Mass-Conn-Fusion band gets the crowd going with their Motown, R&B, Funk, Disco, 60’s, and songs from today’s top hits.
