Newington Fire Snarls Traffic On Reservoir Road
Police lift alert urging motorists to avoid area of the fire at 8 a.m.
NEWINGTON — Local police this morning have canceled an alert telling motorists this morning to avoid Reservoir Road due to an active structure fire in that area.
Police issued the initial alert shortly after 7:30 this morning, with backups initially expected to reach to the Fenn Road area.
By about 8 this morning, however, Newington police updated its Twitter listing and said the alert, which was initially classified as a "minor alert," had been canceled.
