
NEWINGTON, CT — The Newington Police Department has a dog behind bars this morning, but the cute-looking canine did nothing wrong.
Rather, the precious pooch was found Saturday morning in the Main Street/Francis Avenue area of the town.
The police department posted an alert via social media at about 8:30 a.m. Saturday telling folks they found the dog, along with a picture of it safetly behind bars.

Police even "quoted" the dog in the alert. "I seem to have lost my owners," police said in the post, quoting the dog.
Anyone with information about the lost dog is asked to call the Newington Police Department at 860-666-8445.
