Person Killed In Crash Between Truck And Scooter In Newington: PD
The crash occurred Tuesday on Willard Avenue at Louis Street.
NEWINGTON, CT — A person was killed in a Tuesday afternoon crash in Newington between a motor scooter and a pickup truck, according to police.
The identity of the victim has not been released, and initially, police said that person, who was operating the scooter at the time of the crash, suffered life-threatening injuries (see the Twitter post below).
Police said the crash occurred at about 4 p.m. on Willard Avenue at Louis Street. NBC Connecticut reported that first responders and good Samaritans attempted measures to save the person's life; the victim was pronounced dead later at an area hospital.
