NEWINGTON, CT — A local street has been closed by police after utility wires came down over the road Thursday afternoon.

According to the Newington Police Department, Louis Street between Willard Avenue and Mallard Lane is closed until the situation is rectified.

The NPD issued the alert on the closure at about 2:15 p.m.
