Route 9 Crash In Newington Cleared: UPDATE

NEWINGTON, CT — A two-vehicle wreck in Newington caused afternoon traffic problems for motorists Wednesday afternoon, according to the state Department of Transportation, but it is now cleared.

The DOT reports the accident occurred on Route 9 North between exits 37 and 38, resulting in the closure of the left lane.

The crash was first reported at 2:27 p.m. and it is now no longer listed on the DOT's incident report.
