12-Year-Old Hit By Car, New London Police Investigating

NEW LONDON, CT — A 12-year-old pedestrian was struck by a vehicle Tuesday evening, police said.

Police are currently investigating a motor vehicle accident that occurred in the area of 33 Ocean Ave. at 3.13 p.m.

The juvenile pedestrian, a 12-year-old girl, was taken to L+M Hospital for further treatment, police said.

"The offending vehicle initially fled the scene but was located after the fact," police said in a statement. "The investigation remains active."
