Assault Hospitalizes Victim In New London, Police Say

Police received a report of a man "bleeding heavily from the face."

NEW LONDON, CT — Police are investigating following an assault in New London on Sunday evening.

Police responded to the call at 5:33 p.m. at 265 Broad St. on a report of a man "bleeding heavily from the face."

Police arrived at the scene of the incident and found the injured man. Police established a perimeter and the man was taken to the hospital for medical care.

The victim's injuries did not appear to be life-threatening, police said.
