New London, CT: In the year that the U.S. celebrated the 60th Anniversary of The Beatles invasion of America, New London will be treated to a celebration of The Beatles with a special evening of entertainment and information. On Wednesday, December 4, from 5-6pm, Connecticut author and Beatles expert Charles F. Rosenay!!!, well known internationally as a Beatles festival and music producer, will be bringing his interactive presentation to the Community Room in the Public Library of New London, 63 Huntington Street. The program will include a talk on the famed band plus a book-signing of Rosenay!!!’s release, The Book of Top 10 Beatles Lists.
The Book of Top 10 Beatles Lists, issued by Kiwi Publishing, is very different from the hundreds of Beatles titles that have come out before. It contains sixty-four Top Ten Lists of favorite songs, albums, films, appearances, and a whole lot of memories and insights from music legends, actors, athletes, authors, disc jockeys, and many friends and relatives of The Beatles…including two former Beatles!
In tribute to The Beatles’ arrival in America in 1964, and as a tip of the hat to the beloved Beatles song, the author decided to finish the book “WHEN I’M (at) 64” lists. Appropriately enough, the book was completed on February 9, the anniversary of The Beatles’ historic first appearance on “The Ed Sullivan Show.”
In the book, every chapter not only contains a list, but also provides additional comments as to why the choices were made. Often hilarious, sometimes thought-provoking, but always fascinating, the lists run the gamut from brief, fan-based opinions straight through to thesis-worthy chapters on The Beatles’ legacy.
After years of contacting celebrities, as well as notables who were closely connected to The Beatles’ history, here is a treasury for pop-culture enthusiasts, music lovers, collectors, and fans of the greatest rock and roll band in history. Officially titled Celebrities, Actors, Authors, Mods & Rockers: The Book of Top 10 Beatles Lists, the book is available on Amazon, but the author is looking forward to meeting area friends and fellow fans so he can sign copies personally. The book is fully illustrated with photos, and, at over 200 pages, sells for $19.99.
