Garden Club Donates Flowers To New London Hospital
The club donated the flowers to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital "in hopes of inspiring and encouraging both patients and staff."

NEW LONDON, CT – The Thames River Garden Club brightened L+M Hospital this week with bursts of color as the club donated handmade silk flower arrangements in hopes of inspiring and encouraging both patients and staff.
“We hope they bring joy to the patients and their caregivers," said Brenda Kramer, a member of the garden club and a past president of the Auxiliary of L+M Hospital.

Alice Soscia, director of Development for L+M, accepted the flowers on behalf of the hospital, and nurse leaders offered their thanks before carrying the bouquets back to their units and patient rooms.
“We are so grateful to the Thames River Garden Club for their commitment to the community," Soscia said. “I can only imagine the faces of the patients when they see these gorgeous arrangements. These flowers will brighten spirits, and the brilliant colors remind all of us that spring is on the way."
