NEW LONDON, CT — Actor Mark Ruffalo is coming to New London for screenings of the HBO series "I Know This Much Is True." The movie will be screened at the Garde Arts Center from Sept. 21 to 23.
The series is based on the 1998 novel by Wally Lamb and follows the parallel lives of identical twin brothers in what's described as "an epic story of betrayal, sacrifice, and forgiveness set against the backdrop of 20th-century America inspired by the communities and characters of eastern Connecticut that have influenced much of Wally’s work over the years."
Lamb, a Norwich native and New York Times best-selling author, will host the event, and Director Derek Cianfrance and Ruffalo will also be in attendance. Ruffalo is a three-time Oscar nominee and his starring role in the film won him an Emmy, Golden Globe, and Screen Actors Guild awards.
