New London Hospital To Host Community Health Fair

NEW LONDON, CT — Lawrence + Memorial Hospital will host a Community Health Fair on Wednesday, June 11. The event will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking area outside the Red Building at the Ocean Avenue entrance.

The event will offer free health screenings and resources such as:

• Blood pressure screening
• Vehicle/child safety resources
• Mental health outreach
• Asthma information
• Diabetes information
• Blood sugar screening
• Smilow Cancer Hospital resources
• Information related to financial counseling, registration, MyChart registration guidance)

The Community Health Fair is organized by the Yale New Haven Health Office of Health Equity and Inclusion in recognition of Community Health Improvement Week from June 9 to 13, which highlights the importance of collaboration in creating healthier communities. The fair promotes health education, preventive care and healthy living to create positive change for everyone, according to a statement from the hospital.
