New London Hospital Undergoing Expansion

NEW LONDON, CT — Lawrence + Memorial Hospital is undergoing an expansion as it sees increasing numbers of patients for emergency care each year, WTNH News-8 reported. The expansion is planned to be 11,465 square feet and would increase patient treatment areas to 57 private rooms along with dedicated pediatric treatment rooms and an expanded waiting area.

The hospital had 80,000 visits last year. Hospital employees hope that the expansion will improve emergency care and reduce wait times.
