New London Police Issue Parking Guidelines For Downtown Post Office
The Post Office has authorized parking in their lot behind the building following last week's church collapse.

NEW LONDON, CT — Due to the collapse of First Congregation Church on Union Street, the post office is altering its parking arrangements.
Police posted the following on Facebook:
Due to the restrictions in the area of Masonic St. and Union St. and access to the U.S. Post Office, 27 Masonic St., arrangements have been made with the Post Office for parking and easier access.

The Post Office has authorized parking in their lot behind the building for Post Office patrons Monday through Friday, 10am to 4pm, and Saturday, 10am to 1pm, on a temporary basis.
Post Office patrons are asked to use the spaces closest to Union St. Please reference the attachment below.

NOTE: Barricades at Governor Winthrop Blvd. and Union St. will be positioned to allow access.** NO PARKING on Union St. or further access of the street than to park in the aforementioned parking lot during the stated times.
