NEW LONDON, CT — Two 19-year-olds from Connecticut, one from New London and one from Hartford, died following an accident on I-95 in Rhode Island over the weekend, according to WPRI.

The crash occurred near exit 21 on the border of West Warwick and East Greenwich around 11:40 p.m. Saturday.

A Toyota had spun around and struck a tree. A local fire official told WPRI that it was raining at the time of the crash.

All six people inside the car were trapped due to the accident, WJAR reported.

Ayanna Voyak, of Hartford, was declared dead at the scene of the crash. Aisha Jules, of New London, was taken to a local hospital and later declared dead.

The four other people in the car were hospitalized due to their injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
