Star Of Iconic TV Show Makes Stop In New London

A celebrity who's touring all 50 states recently swung by New London.

NEW LONDON, CT — "Dukes of Hazzard" star John Schneider stopped by to enjoy New London recently.

He posted about his visit on Facebook as part of a "50 state celebration" he embarked on with his wife, Dee Dee.

"What a cool place this is!" Schneider posted about New London. "It is steeped in American history. You can feel it everywhere you look!"

Schneider describes himself as a "flag-waving, guitar-strumming Dukes of Hazzard legend who’s been speaking his mind publicly and online ever since General Lee first hit the dirt!"

He played Bo Dukes on "The Dukes of Hazzard" on CBS from 1979 to 1985. He later became a successful country singer and had several hit songs, according to his IMBD page.
