7 Displaced By Fire At Multifamily Home In Norwalk: FD
Seven residents were displaced by a fire that broke out Friday morning at a multifamily home in Norwalk, according to fire officials.
NORWALK, CT — Seven residents were displaced by a fire that broke out Friday morning at a multifamily home in Norwalk, according to fire officials.
In a news release, Deputy Fire Chief Adam Markowitz said the structure fire was reported at a 2.5-story wood frame multifamily home on Fairview Avenue around 8:30 a.m. with smoke coming from the roof.
When crews arrived they found smoke and fire coming from the top floor of the back of the building. Two hose lines were stretched to the top floor as primary searches and vertical ventilation were taking place, Markowitz said.

The fire was extinguished in under 30 minutes. No injuries were reported, however seven residents were displaced by the fire, according to Markowitz.
The Norwalk Fire Marshal Division is investigating the cause of the fire, Markowitz said.
