New Member Of Norwalk Common Council Sworn In To Represent District C
Nicolé Eaddy was appointed to fill the District C council seat previously held by Jenn McMurrer, who resigned earlier this month.

NORWALK, CT — On Tuesday, Mayor Harry Rilling swore in the newest member of the Norwalk Common Council to fill a recently vacated position.
According to a news release provided by the city, Nicolé Eaddy was appointed by the Norwalk Democratic Town Committee to fill the District C Common Council seat previously held by Jenn McMurrer, who resigned earlier this month.
"I am pleased to welcome Nicolé Eaddy to the Common Council," Rilling said in a news release. "Nicolé has been an active community member for years and is passionate about environmental sustainability and affordable housing. Many people in the community describe her as thoughtful, patient and kind, and I know she will be a great addition to the Common Council. "

Eaddy is a lifelong Norwalk resident and an accounts payable specialist at GameChange Solar, a global sustainable solar manufacturer, where she analyzes and maintains vendor accounts for the commodities division.
She is also a member of the Norwalk Branch NAACP and a volunteer at the Westport Country Playhouse where she has helped raise funds for a domestic violence safe house in Norwalk, according to the city.

"The Common Council is thrilled to have Council Member Nicolé Eaddy aboard," Darlene Young, president of the Norwalk Common Council, said in a news release. "As a lifelong resident of Norwalk, Nicolé has been a strong advocate in the community for decades and truly understands the most pressing issues facing Norwalkers. I know that she will have a tremendous impact on Norwalk residents in this new role."
In her free time, Eaddy enjoys watching baseball, cooking, baking, listening to music of all genres and visiting her 94 year old grandmother.
"I am honored to serve Norwalk residents in this new role as a member of the Common Council," Eaddy said in a news release. "I never thought my curiosity would lead to this type of opportunity, but it seems that this journey was part of the plan. I look forward to working with everyone and am grateful for this opportunity."
