Norwalk Eatery Eyes 'Cheesiest Pizza' Title: Report

NORWALK, CT — Two local businesses have teamed up to tackle a world record, a pursuit that could have uniquely delicious consequences, reports the News Times. Letizia's Pizza in Norwalk has joined forces with 109 Cheese and Wine in Ridgefield to create a pizza with 109 cheeses in pursuit of the title of the cheesiest pizza ever made.

The two businesses hope to beat out an eatery in Portland, OR, that set the record with 101 cheeses on a pizza. 109 Cheese and Wine will contribute 102 cheeses, while Letizia's will contribute another seven and the rest of the ingredients.

Anyone who wants to taste the pizza can buy it by the slice at Letizia's on May 4 while supplies last.
