Stephen J. DiCarlo, 80, Navy Veteran

Stephen J. DiCarlo, age 80, of Norwalk, passed away on Monday, November 19, 2012 at the Norwalk Hospital.  He was the loving husband for 35 years of Barbara McCann DiCarlo. 

Steve was born in Wayne, PA on July 29, 1932, the son of the late Frank and Phyllis DiCarlo and has lived locally since 1976.  He was a retired accountant and auditor having first worked for Continental Can for 33 years and then with the Commission of Investigation for the State of New York.  Steve enjoyed gardening, cooking and the ocean.  He also loved music and spending time with his family.  He was also very proud of his service to his country in the Navy during the Korean War.     

In addition to his wife, Steve is survived by his children; Sheilah, Cyndi, Chuck, Catherine, Christine, Barbara, Lisa, Sarah and Caroline, his brothers Donald and John, 7 grandchildren, 1 great grandson and many nieces and nephews.  He was also predeceased by his daughter Mary Kim and his brother Frank.     

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, Nov. 26, 9:30 AM at St. Mary Church, 669 West Ave., Norwalk.  Burial with full military honors will follow at St. John Cemetery in Norwalk.  Stephen’s family will receive friends at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk on Sunday, 11/25, from 3-6 PM.  For directions or to leave an online condolence, please go to magnerfuneralhome.com.
