Arrest Made In Norwich Swastika Graffiti Case: Police

The graffiti included swastikas and the name "Trump" in multiple locations, officials said.

NORWICH, CT — A local resident is accused of putting graffiti around the city, including swastikas next to President Donald Trump’s last name.

Police on Tuesday charged David Dionne, 40, of 93 Briar Lane, Norwich, with breach of peace and two counts of third-degree criminal mischief.

Lt. Kyle Besse said police received several complaints about “offensive graffiti’ discovered in four locations, all on the city’s Westside section, on Feb. 21.

According to Besse, police reviewed surveillance footage from multiple sources and conducted interviews to determine who was responsible.

Police said an investigation determined Dionne was the “sole person responsible for the graffiti.”

The state Department of Transportation confirmed that it covered multiple instances of swastika graffiti in Norwich after it was discovered last month.
