Connecticut Humane Society Hosts Veterinary Wellness Clinic

The clinic was held Oct. 19.

Connecticut Humane Society Medical Director and veterinarian Kathleen Riley greets Naila with animal care technician Eric Martell during the dog’s check-up at an Oct. 19 CHS veterinary wellness clinic. The free clinic, held at the William A. Buckingham Memorial Building in Norwich in partnership with St. Vincent de Paul Place, the Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut and Newman’s Own Foundation, was the sixth held this year by CHS. Still in its first year, the clinic program has treated 333 pets with free vaccinations, check-ups, nail trimmings, heartworm tests and other preventative care. Each clinic was open to any area residents who were interested in attending with their companion animals. The next clinic is set for April.
