Ghost Guns, 3D Printers Seized After Norwich Threat: Police
A domestic threat led to the discovery of multiple ghost weapons, according to police.
NORWICH, CT — Police seized ghost weapons and 3D printers from a local man Friday after responding to a threatening complaint, police said.
Officers went to a local residence Friday after receiving a report of a domestic disturbance.
A woman at the scene reported Richard Menzano, 50, had threatened to kill her. The woman told police Menzano has guns and gun-making equipment. She told police Menzano is a convicted felon, which police said they confirmed.

Police seized a polymer 90 Inc. “ghost” gun, an FGC-9 MKII 9 mm “ghost” rifle, and an FGC-9 1809 9 mm “ghost” rifle. They also confiscated two 3D printing machines, along with several 3D printed handgun lowers, extended 3D printed magazines, several high capacity magazines, various gun making parts, ammunition, and a tactical style vest with body armor, according to police.
Menzano was charged with second-degree threatening, criminal possession of body armor, two counts criminal possession of a pistol or revolver, three counts possession of an assault weapon, four counts criminal possession of a firearm,12 counts sale/transfer/possession of high capacity magazines, and 12 counts alteration of a firearm identification mark or number.

Menzano was held over the weekend on $200,000 bond, and he was due to be arraigned in Superior Court in Norwich Monday.
