Dada Post USA 

(Kunstraum) Dada Post was an artist-run organization, founded in January 2008, by Howard McCalebb in Berlin, Germany. In 2022 Mr. McCalebb moved to Norwich, Connecticut, and establish the art gallery Dada Post USA. Mr. McCalebb is a sculptor and active figure on the international art scene. Dada Post USA is an autonomous space for the production, display and discussion of current art. Foremost, we contemplate artistic expression from the standpoint of pure inspiration emanating from the source – the artist. We are keenly interested in the effects of Globalization on art practice, and the notion of a hybridized Post Modern art practice. As a contemporary art space, Dada Post USA is primarily concerned with artwork that is the most current, reflecting the actual meaning of the term: Contemporary Art. We offer a program of exhibitions and events, featuring videos, poetry/literary readings, music and other live performances, during and between art exhibitions. The original inspiration for both (Kunstraum) Dada Post and Dada Post USA was the Cabaret Voltaire in Zürich, Switzerland and Andy Warhol’s Factory in New York City – which were open venues for impromptu gatherings, events, and artistic experimentation. Dada Post USA will continue in this inspiration. In 2022 Howard McCalebb moved to Norwich, Connecticut, and establish the art gallery Dada Post USA. NORWICH, CT — A man was assaulted with an "edged weapon" and suffered a cut on his neck early Monday, police said. Lt. Kyle Besse said police received a 911 call Monday just before 9 a.m. Police responded to the area of 191 Franklin St., where they discovered the wounded 56-year-old male. The man was taken to the William W. Backus Hospital for treatment. Police said the injury was not life-threatening. The investigation into the attack is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Norwich police at 860-886-5561.
