“After a thorough assessment, it was determined that there was no active emergency or credible threat to students, staff, or the campus community,” Besse said.

The lockdown was subsequently lifted and normal school operations were able to resume.

“The incident remains under review, and further information will be released as appropriate,” Besse said, in a news release.

According to the school’s Facebook page, the lockdown was lifted around 1:40 p.m.

School officials said police remained stationed at the school through dismissal “out of an abundance of caution.”

The school dismissed at its usual time of 2:10 p.m. All after school activities are on as scheduled, school officials said.
